We are delighted to welcome Gillian Horan, CEO and founder of branding consultancy The Pudding, to speak on the subject of “Brand – why it needs to be on the board agenda” on Thursday, 13 May at 6.30pm.Companies dramatically underestimate the value of a strong brand. Now more than ever, executives need to consider how building and developing purposeful brands impacts the growth of the organisation. Gillian will explore ‘brand’ in its most holistic sense, explaining how great brands drive growth and equity. Some of the core areas Gillian will cover include:

  • Building brands in a time of crisis
With over 16 years’ experience, Gillian Horan has been responsible for a number of significant brand projects including Norbrook Pharmaceuticals, Lynoslife (lifesciences), Colgate, Sheraton, Simtech, Smyths Toys and Kemp Technologies. She has also worked with a number of private equity groups on how best to commercially leverage their brands to build brand communities and attract and retain key talent ultimately leading to an increase in brand equity. She is a regular contributor on brand and culture-related business issues in the national media. Gillian was a Non-Executive Board member at Colourtrend and has also previously served as a Director and Board Member of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors (IMCA).
