National Board

The National Board is responsible for the overall direction of the MBAAI. Board members strive to deliver real value and learning for our members through a range of initiatives. In addition, they are responsible for the delivery of a number of events throughout the year.

Current Board

President – Michael Bulman

Michael is the Alliances and Partnership Development Manager for Kyndryl Ireland. He is responsible for building an ecosystem of partners to provide IT services to customers in Ireland and the UK. Michael studied with the Open University and completed his MBA with Dublin City University in 2018. He previously served as Membership Director of the Association.

 

Company Secretary – Ronan Neary

Ronan is the National Account Controller with Premier Lotteries Ireland (operator of the National Lottery). He is responsible for corporate membership recruitment and retention for the Association. Ronan completed his Executive MBA in 2016 in Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).

 

Finance Director – Shane Connors

Shane Connors is a Chartered Accountant (ACA). He is Managing Partner of Connors and Co, Chartered Accountants based in Waterford where he specialises in Corporate Finance. He completed his MBA at Smurfit Business School.

 

Academic Liaison Director – Michelle Gallagher

Michelle holds an MBA from the University of Limerick, Kemmy Business School, which she completed in 2017.

 

I.T. Director – Owen Murphy

An MBA alumnus of Trinity Business School, Owen is co-founder and director of Protego Technologies Ltd., a software development organisation providing financial technology services.

 

Membership Director – Michael O’Grady

A member of the board since 2019, Michael is a Business Partner with KBC Bank Ireland’s Business Banking division and has over 20 years’ experience in the Banking Sector. He completed his MBA with Waterford Institute of Technology in 2012 and also holds the following qualifications – Chartered Banker with the Institute of Banking, Diploma in Management Accounting with CIMA and Bachelor of Science in Applied Computing through WIT.

 

Southern Chapter Director – Jerry Crowley

A recent addition to the board, Jerry is Marketing Manager for Johnson & Perrott Motor Dealerships. He is responsible for all marketing activities for ten leading car franchises as well as four dealerships across Cork City. Jerry completed his MBA at the University of Limerick in 2016.

Board member – Grace O’Shaughnessy

Grace is Managing Director of Java Republic, suppliers of premium coffee and 100% organic tea. She began working with the company in 2006 and holds responsibility for driving the future direction of Java Republic within Ireland. In 2018 Grace completed her MBA in DCU.
