The first of an occasional series of informative 30-minute virtual insights on topical business issues, labelled “Learn over Lunch”, kicks off with a talk by Parva Consulting on the AI Act at 12 noon on Wednesday, 30th July 2025. Attendees can expect to come away with a clear understanding of what the EU AI Act is, what it is trying to do and what is aims to avoid, and how AI technologies are being deployed in Ireland and the EU in context of this regulation.

The EU AI Act is the world’s first comprehensive AI regulation, designed to balance innovation with accountability through risk-based rules that safeguard rights, ensure transparency, and set clear expectations for AI use across all industries in Europe.The session is timely, as the first key provisions of the Act are coming into force in August 2025, with most requirements taking effect next year, requiring organisations to align their AI systems with the Act.
