The MBA Association is delighted to invite member Grainne Madden, founder of GMJ Associates, a consultancy offering advice and training in business ethics and responsible business practice, to host a webinar on Whistleblowing Policy and Process  on Thursday, 30 September at 6.30pm.

The EU Whistleblowing Directive has introduced common minimum standards for the protection of whistleblowers in EU countries.  In Ireland, the General Scheme of the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Bill will transpose the Directive into Irish law by the 17^th  December this year.  This will mean that all organisations with more than 50 employees (and in some sectors, fewer) must have policies and processes in place for the receipt and follow up of protected disclosures. It has been described by some as ‘the next GDPR’ in terms of  the compliance burden it may place on organisations.

This session will provide guidance on what you need to do to ensure your organisation is in compliance.

Gráinne works with businesses and other types of organisations to help them develop their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, CSR Reporting, conduct ethical assessments and address specific ethical issues through policy development and training. She has a particular focus on developing Whistleblowing/Protected Disclosure policies and supporting organisations in developing a culture of psychological safety. She teaches Corporate Responsibility to MBA students in Trinity College Dublin and Griffith College Dublin and her research has been published in The Journal of Business Ethics. She obtained her MBA from the Smurfit Business School.
