Navigating the NI venture capital & start-up landscape

The MBA Association of Ireland’s Northern Chapter and Queen’s Business School presented – navigating the NI venture capital & start-up landscape. 

This event, taking place in Riddel Hall in Queen’s Business School, Belfast in December, presented an opportunity for organisations, alumni and current MBA students to gain valuable insights from expert speakers and engage in a panel discussion.

Panellists included:

  • Susan Fitzsimmons – Chief Customer Officer, Audit Comply
  • Brian Cummings – Investment Director,Clarendon Fund Managers
  • Pauline Timoney – Head of Entrepreneurship at Catalyst
  • Louise Long – Head of Productivity, Dept for the Economy

Kicking off with a keynote overview of Northern Ireland’s Venture Capital landscape, the panel explored:

  • Access to capital and emerging investment trends
  • Building a thriving start-up ecosystem
  • Founder journeys, from first-time to serial entrepreneurs
  • The role of academia in driving entrepreneurship
  • Policy impact and future support for innovation

This was a chance to gain insights, connect with industry leaders, and be part of Northern Ireland’s innovation journey!

There was also an opportunity for business networking over a light buffet.
