Event Details

The MBAAI Western Chapter is delighted to welcome leadership development expert Caroline Hughes to the University of Galway on 28th November at 6pm.to speak to members on “From Burnout to Breakthrough: Real Talk on Leading in Global Corporates“.

Join us for an honest and insightful conversation with someone who has navigated the demands of Fortune 500 boardrooms, led transformative cultural shifts and built a coaching consultancy centred on conscious leadership. In this conversation we will talk through:

  • How to drive sustainable change in high-stakes, fast-moving complex environments
  • Strategies for building inclusive, high-performance cultures—moving beyond surface-level teamwork to leading through collaboration and common purpose.
  • Personal resilience: lessons learned from (brink of) burnout and insights on thriving amidst corporate pressures.
  • Practical advice for emerging leaders on managing impact, reputation, and influence in multinational settings.

This chat is a unique opportunity to gain real-world wisdom and actionable advice from someone who has not only led but redefined leadership on a global scale.

A graduate of the University of Galway, Caroline was formerly Global Director of Leadership Development at CRH and prior to that was Head of Change and Organisation Development at the Central Bank of Ireland. More here.

An opportunity to network among fellow MBA alumni students and guests will follow Caroline’s talk. This event is free to members, who may bring a guest. Note you must log in when booking to avail of free entry.
